Puppy Shipping and Delivery
At Heritage Rottweiler Puppies, we plan your puppy’s homecoming with their comfort and care in mind. We prepare them for the journey, coordinate delivery to your home, and keep you informed so you know what to expect before arrival day.
We offer home delivery throughout the contiguous United States for a flat transportation fee of $300, separate from your puppy’s purchase price. This fee includes transportation, the travel crate, and carrier charges. We confirm your delivery address and schedule before booking.
Puppies leave no earlier than eight weeks, once fully weaned, developmentally ready and cleared for the journey. Delivery arranged by us includes 14-day protection for qualifying infectious illness present before handover or acquired during transportation, with diagnosis and treatment reimbursed up to your puppy’s purchase price.
Homecoming at a Glance
Planning begins after your puppy is purchased or reserved. We confirm the delivery address, recipient, schedule, flat transportation fee and payment arrangements with you before booking. We provide updates if your delivery schedule changes.
Each puppy must be at least eight weeks old, fully weaned, developmentally ready, cleared for travel by our attending veterinarian, and eligible under applicable carrier and destination rules. We prefer direct routing when practical, and while same-day arrival is often planned, weather, traffic, or carrier adjustments can require schedule updates.
| Stage | What We Confirm | How It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Before booking | Home delivery address, authorized recipient, schedule, $300 flat fee, and payment method | No trip is booked until your delivery details, schedule, and payment arrangements are agreed. |
| Before departure | Veterinary wellness examination, travel documents, crate identification, and weather safety | Our veterinarian clears your puppy for the journey, and we provide a live travel-day contact and tracking details where applicable. |
| Arrival and handover | Recipient photo identification, handover date and time, and 14-day arrival-illness protection | Handover to you or your named representative starts the 14-day arrival-illness protection window. |
Home Delivery
Preparing Your Puppy
Before departure, our veterinarian examines your puppy and assesses fitness for the planned journey. If clearance is withheld, we postpone departure and discuss the next steps with you.
Your puppy travels in a spacious, secure, well-ventilated crate, selected for their comfort throughout the journey. We coordinate food, water and care during travel, including scheduled feeding, watering, and comfort breaks according to our veterinarian’s guidance and the transport provider’s procedures.
For safety in transit, the travel crate is labeled with your puppy’s microchip number, your family’s name, the delivery destination, and our emergency contact details. If a route ever requires an overnight stop, your puppy stays at an approved live-animal facility or provider kennel, and we share the location and update schedule with you in advance.
What Comes With Your Puppy
Your puppy comes with transition food, a care folder and calendar, and, where suitable, a mother-scented blanket. The folder includes feeding guidance, vaccination and deworming records, veterinary visits, available registration and pedigree paperwork, microchip details, and individual care needs. Required travel documents accompany your puppy.
Planning, Documents, and Fees
Your Flat Transportation Fee
The $300 fee covers delivery to your home throughout the contiguous United States, including transportation, the travel crate and carrier charges. It is separate from your puppy’s purchase price. Payment method and timing are confirmed before booking.
We arrange and pay for pickup for an approved health-related return separately. You do not pay this transportation fee again for that pickup.
Travel Documents and Destination Rules
Before departure, we verify the health and entry documents required for your origin, destination within the contiguous United States, transport provider, and transfer of ownership. Where required by state or carrier rules, an accredited veterinarian issues a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI, or official health certificate), along with any required United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) or state endorsement, and we provide applicable records before departure.
Confirming Your Details
Provide your full name, home delivery address, telephone number, email address, preferred homecoming date and any access or scheduling details. Tell us if an authorized representative will receive your puppy. We share delivery information only with the transport provider as needed to complete the trip.
Weather and Schedule Changes
We follow the temperature and safety limits of the selected transport provider at every departure, connection, and arrival point. Travel conditions or seasonal temperatures may affect arrival times. We keep you informed and coordinate any changes to the delivery plan. If we cancel for a reason within our control, we reschedule at no additional cost or refund the transportation fee.
We confirm applicable booking and carrier terms before payment. Those terms do not replace our Health and Guarantee commitments. You do not need to complete a carrier or insurance claim before requesting qualifying health-guarantee support.
Preparing for Arrival and Your Responsibilities
Before Delivery
- Confirm your details. Review the delivery address, recipient, schedule, $300 flat fee, and payment arrangements.
- Prepare your home. Set up a quiet arrival area, fresh water, and your puppy’s current food.
- Arrange the initial vet visit. Schedule an examination within three days of arrival and bring the health folder.
- Stay reachable. Provide a phone number that will be answered on delivery day and confirm access instructions.
On Arrival Day
- Be available at home. You or your authorized representative should be ready during the agreed delivery window.
- Have identification ready. The recipient’s photo identification should match the agreed delivery details.
- Check your puppy and records. Record the handover date and time and report concerns promptly. Signing a delivery receipt does not waive health coverage.
- Allow time to settle. Keep the first day calm and follow the feeding and care guidance provided.
Before departure, we provide a live phone or messaging contact for delivery-day concerns, along with a tracking number or airway bill where applicable. Formal health claims and records should be emailed to info@heritagerottweilerpuppies.com.
If no one is present at the agreed handover time, the provider follows its safe unclaimed-animal procedure and contacts us immediately. If you cannot receive your puppy as planned, contact us promptly so we can coordinate safe care; any non-health refusal or missed handoff follows the terms disclosed and agreed before booking, while a reported illness, injury, or welfare concern at handover is never treated as a refusal without cause.
Your Responsibilities
- Complete the initial veterinary checkup within three days. Bring your puppy’s care folder and calendar so your veterinarian can review records and continue vaccination and deworming schedules.
- Keep contact and access details accurate. Let us know promptly if your phone number, gate code, or designated recipient changes before delivery day.
- Comply with local destination rules. Maintain any local licensing or municipal pet permits required by your city, county, or state after arrival.
- Be ready for handover. Ensure you or your named representative is home with matching photo identification during the confirmed arrival window.
If Your Puppy Becomes Ill After Arrival
For delivery arranged by us, we cover veterinarian-confirmed infectious illness when signs first appear within 14 calendar days after handover and veterinary evidence supports illness present before handover or acquired during transportation. For one qualifying illness episode, we reimburse necessary diagnosis and treatment expenses up to your puppy’s purchase price in total, including related specialist visits, medication, surgery, and follow-up. Several visits or invoices may be needed for that course of care.
Have your puppy examined within three days of arrival, bringing the health folder. Email info@heritagerottweilerpuppies.com within 48 hours of noticing symptoms, or as soon as reasonably possible in an emergency. Do not delay urgent treatment while waiting for our reply. Send the examination report, diagnosis, test results, symptom timeline, veterinarian’s likely-exposure assessment, treatment plan, itemized invoices, and puppy/purchase details. Records already on file count.
We normally reply within 24 hours and always within 48 hours, and we identify missing required records together. We give a final decision within three business days of receiving complete required records, including our veterinary review. Approved reimbursements are issued within 1–3 calendar days after approval and receipt of necessary invoices; later invoices follow the same review and payment deadlines. Bank or payment-provider settlement may take longer.
New exposure after handover does not qualify. If timing or cause is uncertain, we review the veterinary evidence. A late initial checkup alone does not automatically void coverage, and an absence of symptoms at handover does not prove there was no infection.
This arrival allowance is separate from our congenital/inherited refund and diagnostic benefits. Payments under one benefit do not reduce another, and the same expense cannot be reimbursed twice. Full congenital/inherited eligibility and health-related return terms appear in our Health and Guarantee.
